Provisions regarding the UCLG-MEWA Treasurer are stipulated in the following articles of the UCLG-MEWA Constitution:


Article 67              The Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for the oversight of the financial strategy, accounting and management of UCLG-MEWA’s finances. Every year, she/he shall present to the UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau:
  1. a. the accounts of the previous financial year, certified by an independent external auditor appointed by the UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau which shall be submitted to the UCLG-MEWA Council for final approval;
  2. b. the budget for the next financial year;
  3. c. other significant financial reports.

The Treasurer fulfils his/her functions without remuneration.
